Gathering up the pieces

Gathering up the pieces to get this car started wasn't really a long process. Between gutting, cleaning, ordering, cutting, organizing, cleaning, measuring, marking, and other things, things have been going along relatively quickly. That, and everyone involved in the project works full time, so this is just something we get a do in our spare time. Getting to the pieces though: We've had a ... mostly complete running vehicle that I drove into the shop. The interior of the car was pretty stripped out - I estimate the weight of the car as it sat was around 2800 pounds. I did weigh the car the previous year, and it weighed 3020 with 3/4 of a tank of gas. since then, I had removed the interior, and installed a 5 gallon aluminum fuel cell. in place of the stock tank. So, onto rear drive pieces. I'd need an engine plate, flywheel, convertor, transmission. Rear Axle would need to come along, as well as a driveshaft, and four link parts and pieces. In addition to that, we'd need a lot of raw materials. Mild steel, chromoly, aluminum, and Argon. In addition to that, we'd need tools. Lots of tools. I've borrowed so many tools from my dad, Mark, Rick, Jay, whoever to get things done. The main tools we've all been using, though? Something to write with, and something to measure with. In our case, we're using a gross of Sharpie's, a Fat Max, and a few steel rulers. But I'm getting ahead of myself. The pieces we started out with were relatively simple: The car, a competition engineering four link frame kit, some mild steel brackets, the exhaust off the car, and a set of slicks.
